If you want to get close to the nature and immerse in serenity, Pittwater YHA is a possible choice. Its located in the Ku Ring Gai nattional park where you will see parrots, smaller kangroo aka wallabee and other wild animals. The manager Machel and owner Sarah would advise on bush walk, swimming and kaiaking near the Morning Bay. 8... More

This isn't the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in, very rustic and COVERED in giant spiders. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I wished the bathrooms were cleaner and more updated. There were only a few guests while we were there, yet, someone stole food out of our kitchen bins. There is no way to restock food without taking... More

I first stayed at this hostel when I was at University. It was close enough to the University to get there in reasonable time and far enough away so that it seemed like a holiday - An excellent break from study and assignments. There is a bus from the city that goes to Church Point, from which you catch a... More

I thought to take my girlfriend to Pittwater YHL recently as a birthday present seeing as I liked what I read about it and as it turned out, the positive reviews were pretty much spot on. Sarah and Michael the hosts and managers of this wonderful hostel, we're very accommodating and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hostel... More

This hostel provides the perfect getaway. There's not much to do other than walk, swim, kayak and read, so relaxing is mandatory! I was travelling alone, but I received such a friendly welcome, both from Sarah and Michael who run the hostel, but also the other people staying there. There were many late night chats! The hostel is basic, as... More

I've stayed here 4 times now and it is an absolutely idyllic place. Firstly anywhere that is only accessible by boat is a win, and really disconnects you from the rest of the city. By the time you've reached the hostel all you can see is forest and beautiful views of Pittwater. The hostel has all the features that you... More

Wow - after travelling for 2 months and feeling a little fatigued rather than relaxed, I couldn't have picked a better time to stumble on this place. I almost didn't come because the directions seemed a little out of the way, but walking in I decided it was well worth the trip, and I wasn't wrong. Wallabies, waking up to... More

I came across this YHA by chance, while I was travelling around with my 3 kids. It was the penultimate day of our 5 week trip around the world, and a perfect ending. I only stayed one night, and would have liked to have stayed maybe a couple more. When I stayed there was only us 4, and another girl.... More
