I try to stay in some of the very old hotels that I can find when on a business trip. This one is old, the hallways look mostly original, the rooms were updated in the '50's, so definitely look dated. The rooms are clean (saw a couple of them), linens were clean and well supplied. The rooms had typical furniture, bed(s), desk, chair, dresser, closet. The bathrooms had been added, so the floor is raised in that area. A window unit provides heat and air. There are some permanent residents, so better rooms are occupied, and a school contracts several rooms at a time for students who come to town for classes. The two rooms I saw had windows on an interior court with skylight, i.e., daylight, but no view, in fact, the glass was translucent to guarantee privacy, because another window was directly opposite across the court. Internet access was a problem in one room, wireless access was fine in the second room.
