My husband and I are lovers of Victorian architecture so when we were looking for a B & B in the Rock Island area the name really stuck out. A delightful home run by David and Barbara Parker, it was warm and welcoming, filed to the top with antiques and charm. The king sized room we requested was large and spacious but only had a shower in the adjoining bathroom, a smaller queen room had a private tub and shower so we took that instead. The room was smaller but met our needs adequately, the lovely Victorian tub more than made up for it! Not to mention the most comfortable bed!!!
A small TV is in the room and a pair of nice armchairs, no fridge etc but then it is a Victorian home!
breakfast is served at 8.30am which may be a bit early for some, but is well worth the trip into the dining room, The table is set in lovely white table cloth and fine china, no packed and pre cooked food here!, Barbara made smashing fruit cocktails every morning served with orange juice, home... more
