My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Milkhouse with our 15 month old son. The location is idyllic, the standard of the accommodation 5 star and the owners absolutely lovely. The homemade bread, dinner and cookies were delicious and there is plenty to do around the area for toddlers/children - a local soft... More

Having not long returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at The Milkhouse, I am wary of praising too highly as we want to return next year and I do not want to find the accommodation fully booked! We were greeted with freshly baked scones and tea on arrival, something which I had again during our stay as they were... More

We just got back from a lovely 4 night break at the Artisan Bakehouse. The location is fantastic being in the middle of the countryside but with the advantage of the nearby town of Steyning for local shopping. Not that you'll need to do any food shopping if you take up the offer of the owners, Les and Louise, doing... More

Les and Louise achieve exactly what they promise on the website - passionate bakers with beautifully clean and well maintained accommodation. We felt totally welcomed and at home as soon as we arrived, and all the baby gear was a great help. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We spent Easter week in The Milkhouse and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Despite extremely cold weather, this lovely cottage was warm and cosy - a perfect base to return to after a day out. Les and Louise were so friendly and helpful.Their personal touches and attention to detail were second to none. During our stay we had a... More

I had read the amazing reviews before going and it is all true! The owners were lovely to deal with before and during our stay. And they made it easy to travel with a little one - we have an 18 month old toddler and it was great as a high chair/cot/changing mat and other kiddie things were provided and... More

We had the most wonderful break at The Milkhouse last week. Louise and Les couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and their food is comfort food at its very very best!!! The Milkhouse is cosy and stylish and our little girl adored the swings, trampoline and feeding the rabbits! We'd love to go back very soon! Just wonderful!!

We have just spent a sunny week at the Milkhouse with our 2 1/2 yr old and small baby and all thoroughly enjoyed it! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and very well kitted-out both for small children (with toys, plates, cups + spoons, bath + changing mats etc) and adults (i.e. rolltop bath, homemade soap, spa treatments if you choose... Just back from a long weekend stay at The Artisan Bakehouse with our 11 month old. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as arriving, with freshly baked cookies and bread in the cottage and Louise organise everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible with our little one. We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Brewhouse. Highchair and cot were provided for our son - in great condition. Cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Very well-equipped kitchen. As other reviewers have mentioned, the complimentary baked products, eggs and jam are very thoughtful and the 2 dinners which we ordered were delicious and extremely well... More

We are so glad that you had a great stay and that you enjoyed the complimentary welcome hamper and also the homemade take-out meals we prepared for you. We are sorry that you found the WiFi connection a little patchy during your stay. Whilst we are in a rural area we do have WiFi here throughout the cottages and have... More
