Had a great visit. We had to change our plans at the last minute and even though we had booked a fixed-price deal they were happy to not charge us for the night we couldn't stay. A four day break on Dartmoor this time without my wife. Service, food and rooms were as ever outstanding - Oliver and his team continue to do an excellent job. I was quite keen on costs and the set menu was perfect for this. Back in January but with both of us.

Remote, comfortable inn, not really a pub. We were two nights in a small room - as we had requested - but comfortable, with a good bed and clean ensuite shower.
