We walk everywhere downtown/ campus/ bars / and by the end of the night we sat on the front porch and rocked for hours . quiet and romantic . We were the 1st ones to enjoy the new building that... I stayed here with a group of visitors to the University (well, there is not much else in Bloomington). The city is extremely pretty and as we were there for Spring weather, blossom and clapboard houses made a superb combination. The hotel is picturesque and has a pleasant reception area, a good and homey breakfast which varied o the two... More

With three children at IU (paid for by the dad who went to Purdue), we find it difficult to sometimes find a hotel room in Bloomington. The last trip was one of a spur of the moment and to no surprise, there were no hotel rooms available. An online search opened up a couple opportunities and I did my homework... More

I stayed at the Grant Street Inn for a sorority reunion. The main house is beautiful and well-located. You can easily walk to the campus and all of the downtown attractions. They put out coffee and treats, which you can enjoy on their cozy seating in the foyer. We asked them to set up a wine and cheese party for... More

My wife and I have stayed here since we were in college and Paul has been the best innkeeper we've dealt with. From great breakfast to comfy rooms and amazing service, do yourself a favor and stay at GSI.

I stayed at the Grant Street Inn this past weekend for a bachelorette party that I planned. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! From the beginning, Mary was extremely helpful in selecting rooms, providing discounted rates, payment, and all things that go into planning a stay for 15 people. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the... More

I've stayed at the Grant Street Inn four times over the past six years. What stands out at this B&B is the staff. Everyone is always so incredibly friendly. The room was very good. There were plenty of windows and outlets. The bed was super comfy (it reminded me of my grandma's bed). The flat screen TV had plenty of... More

It doesn't matter where you stay, but eventually you come across something with a hotel room that you thought could be done better. For example, when you're searching for a plug for your cell phone charger, when the AC unit kicks on in the middle of the night and wakes you up, or when you turn the lights off and... More

I just spent a weekend at the Grant Street Inn. It was my sorority reunion, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The Inn itself is just lovely. Our room was in the original inn, beautifully appointed, comfy king size bed and a nicely sized... More

The main house is lovely. The porch divine. The breakfast was phenomenal. The room we stayed in was appointed well - nice furnishings, high ceilings. (The mattress while comfortable is already sinking, a ridge starting to appear in the middle - but didn't impact sleep.) So why the "poor" indication? It's for value. The new buildings are very very cheaply... More

We are pleased that you enjoy the Grant Street Inn but are sad that you had an unpleasant stay in our newest building. All feedback is important to us as we had not yet been made aware that the soundproofing between rooms in this building was an issue. Our new expansion is so often requested by guests, especially regular corporate... More
