My husband and I are parents of a Notre Dame sophomore and have been going out to Notre Dame each fall for one football game. As anyone who has been to a Notre Dame game can attest, many of the area hotels are completely dismal and outrageously expensive during these weekends. We were desparate to find something better and are overjoyed with our success.

Winding Waters B&B is the private home of Carl and Lori R, which they open as a B&B for major Notre Dame events - football weekends, freshman orientation, commencement. Their home is large, modern, tastefully decorated, maticulously clean, and convenient though not right near campus. Winding Waters is located in Elkart, IN and is about a 20 minutes drive to campus. On game day, that's not too bad because the traffic/commute from even the closest hotels is challenging.
