I usually don't expect much from your run-of-the-mill extended stay hotels... but Candlewood Suites (at least in Elkhart) is not to be missed. We drove from NJ through PA/OH and into Indiana for a wedding in Michigan (which is just down the street from Elkhart), and found Candlewood Suites to be a home away from home. It's a new property... more

Was travelling to Wisconsin from NY and stopped to get some sleep. Tried the Econo lodge, Best Western etc but nobody had rooms (Jazz festival-who knew???) One of the other hotels recommended Candlewood. I was leary of the price but I ended up paying less than I thought. The room was beautiful and clean. My son loved the TV-the DVD/VHS... more

Candlewood was fabulous. The hotel is new so the room was really clean and everything worked great. Several features of Candlewood will guarantee I'll stay there again when I'm in the area. Everything from DVD/VCR players in the room and free DVD rentals from the front desk, to the Gazebo with the free to use grill. It was nice having... more
