This hotel is falling apart and they aren't fixing anything because they are going to tear it down to build the new Roberts Stadium. We stayed there for 2 nights because we were attending a conference in the adjacent "The Centre". We were banished to the 8th floor in no-man's land where apparently they only put people when the rest... more

We arrived to a very hot lobby and checked in. When we got to our 6th floor room it was extremely hot. the AC was not working so I contacted the front desk and they stated that they were working on the problem and that it has been down all day. I ask to be moved to another room and... more

We were here in August for the ISUSBCYA Bowling Jamboree. It was a wonderful stay. The banquet spread was very appealing and tasty. The accodomations were nice. Each room that we had seminars in, were nice and roomy. We ate down by the casino at one of the restaraunts, but were driven there by the van from the hotel. The... more

It's really a shame that others find such negativity in this hotel. Granted it does have a very vintage feel, but the location is clean and the hotel staff is AMAZINGLY helpful. The decor is fairly outdated, but who stays at hotels based on decor. If you're looking for a safe and friendly place to stay the night, then check... more

We had a horse running at Ellis Park and drove to the area without a reservation. The hotel looked nice from the lobby so we checked in for two nights. We ate at the hotel buffet for dinner the first night. The staff was very nice but the food looked like it had been out too long. They said the... more

This hotel is worse then it was 6 months prior. And even then, our experience was so poor we were "asked" to come back after they re-did the rooms. SO we tried again : The rooms had an unpleasent order, the AC did not work, the bathrooms were just gross and the bed linens were covered with "pills" which felt... more

Stayed here 3 nights during a Navy reunion...Great Place...Great Staff. Sparkling clean, neat. Nice restaurant with great breakfast buffet. Staff was pleasant and quickly responsive to any request. Parking was a breeze in the garage across street connected to hotel via 2nd floor walkway. Health Club free to guests was a really nice touch with plenty of equipment and tennis... more

Let me tell you- in all my times and travels- i have never EVER experienced anything like this at this hotel. This was a convention based event for our sorority ( approx 500) and what a terrible nightmare it was for those hosting it. It was an embarrassment and completely out of control. THe rooms were filthy and smelled so... more

I was surprised how much has changed. This hotel was once very elite and elegant. Our room was not ready when we got there even tho I made the reservation days in advance. We were offered a handicapped room at a lower rate and took it. Bad choice. There was no vanity in the bathroom to sit our deodorant, hairspray,... more

This hotel is beautiful, but looks aren't everything. Our first night there our room had no heat but was fixed by the next day. The restaurant needs major help. The food was terrible. We had dinner the first night and breakfast our last day. TERRIBLE!! But the service is outstanding. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I probably... more
