We attended a wedding at the park recpetion center The "Garrison". It was very nice..and very beautiful at night. The wait staff..not so nice. There is a older woman who waited on us who was downright mean. She freaked that we had kids at our table. She refused to bring out our food until we removed are children from the... More

We had a family birthday party at this property. The staff was great to work with from long distance. The food was good. The accommodations in the main inn were fancier than those at the Harrison House or the 3-Bedroom officer homes. Next time I would choose to house all of my guest in the main inn. This is a... More

Enjoyed my assignments to Fort Benjamin Harrison in the 1970's to attend various Army courses. Returned thirty-five years later to stay at the Harrison House (one of the five lodging facilities operated by the State at the old post), a renovated barracks originally built for nurses and very similar to one I lived in during the summer of 1977. Room... More

My husband and I chose the Ft. Harrison State Park Historic Inn to have our sons rehearsal dinner. Wow, what a wonderful experience. From the first meeting with Kim, the event coordinator we felt at ease. As time drew closer we of course had many questions and she handled them with care. We had guest who had food allergies...not a... More

We were looking for a place to stay after a couple of days of visiting our adult kids and their families and all the bed and breakfasts or downtown hotels were booked due to a couple of conventions going on that weekend. On a whim, I decided to see if this Inn had any rooms and found a King room... More

This is a hidden gem. I almost don't want to tell you. The whole property is on 1700 acres of the old Fort Benjamin Harrison. Named after our 23rd president. If you like tall ceilings, separate airy sun rooms, large roomy bathrooms and classic furnishings, this place is for you. I stayed in one of the kings. It was very... More

Most state park lodges are fairly pedestrian affairs, designed for the outdoor recreation crowd and not for the more upscale-minded. Not so with Fort Harrison just east of Indianapolis. The lodge has four-star rooms with a five-star staff. The only negative is that there is no on-site breakfast offered either in the nearby restaurant at the conference center or on... More

I chose this hotel because I was in town on business and abhor chain hotels & their manufactured "experiences". Also, I wanted to golf the Fort. After 2 nights I was moved to a king room because there was an issue with the water pressure in the shower of my queen suite. Definitely request the king room. Bedroom, huge bathroom... More

We checked in late at night and went to the Col. Glen Guest House which we had reserved. There were no working outside lights so we had to fumble to unlock the door and for a light switch inside. While carrying our luggage upstairs and deciding who was sleeping where, we could hear voices and laughter. There were several armories... More

It is old and has had great make over. The entrance could stand a large upgrade but that is just one of the things that makes it unique. The rates are reasonable, the TVs are ok but not HD, clean and we could not find any major fault. The parking close to the entrance is limited. We went to a... More
