The Rancho Pousada do Buna in Atins is perfectly located to visit the National Park of the Lencois Maranhenses. The owners - Buna and Monica - are extremely nice and helpful in organizing trips to the park and to/from San Luis.

I do not recommend Rancho Pousada do Buna. Although the employees were nice, the owners (Buna and Monica) were extremely unfriendly and unpolite. The rooms and the decoration are original, the food is okay, but the pousada is isolated and the only means of transportation are the pickups owned by Buna, which are very expensive. The location of Rancho do Buna is ideal nearby the lencois. All the surroundings are incredible. The hotel has some good infrastructure with a pool, a nice sala. If you do a trip overnight from Barreirinhas you will probably stay in Cabure. If you get the chance ask to stay in Atins and stay here. Much nicer in my opinion!
