A good place to stay on the edge of Shipshewana, IN when visiting Amish Country. Lots of places to shop, eat, and people watch. Very interesting community. Girls getaway, 2 night stay. Pleasant stay. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Nightowl of the group enjoyed the comfy lounge near front desk for reading and early riser enjoyed the outdoor seating area and watching the buggies go by (could have used a larger area for seating outside though, later in the morning, had to share with smokers. We just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. Mom, daughter and two teenage girls. Price was over $100.00 per night. The two rooms of the suite were on the small size as was the bathroom. Liked this hotel-a short way from the center of town-yummy cookies on the reception desk-great breakfast with eggs, sausage, and make your own waffles-small but nice pool-would have enjoyed a hot tub-nice big room with comfortable beds-if you like to walk the residential neighborhood the hotel adjoins offers nice quiet, safe streets for a good walk-we would stay here again... more

My mom and I stayed here for the first time on our annual trip to Shipshewana. We normally stay at the Essenhaus, but due to a tight budget this year we chose this place. Lovely facility! We had a two room king suite at a rate just over $100. Now this isn't high season but that was still a bargain. We stayed only one night at this hotel, but found our King suite spacious and great for a family with small children. It had a small fridge and microwave. Even though it is about 40 miles from Notre Dame, we always stay here when attending Irish football games. It is quiet, friendly and very clean. Only a few restaurants nearby. It is in the middle of Indiana Amish country, so it is fun to see the horse-drawn carriages. more
