We spent two nights at the Marriott in Coralville. The property itself is beautiful. You enter the property on a very long brick street with fountains. The hotel is built in a newly developed area that has a "city center" feel that includes some shops, restaurants, etc. This is not built out yet, so many places are still vacant. Check-in... more

The Marriott, easily accessible from Interstate, is approached on a brick road. A spacious lobby, marble floors, and a reading room greet guests. The very comfortable sleeping room has granite countertops on nightstand, the coffee station, and bathroom. Bathroom has an opague glass inset in the door, and the shelves in the bathroom were nice for keeping necessary items handy.... more

I never would have thought that I would make my way to Iowa, but lo and behold, my best friend got married...and guess where the bride was from and where the wedding was to be?! Yes, that's right, in Iowa. I guess the old adage is true, "Never say never." I planned the whole trip about 6 months ahead of... more

In June 2008, we were driving cross-country from Seattle to Boston. We couldn’t make reservations because we had no idea where we would end up each night. Anyway, we got tired near Coralville, so we got off the highway and looked around at several hotels. All sold out. Except the Marriott. We got their phone number from another hotel, made... more

We were there for a conference and this hotel has nearly everything you could need. It was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Had all the services you would want and then some. more

We only had a one night stay for a conference, but we were impressed with the hotel the rooms and especially the friendliness of the staff, including the chef who gave a short cooking lesson to the spouses. We'll be back! more

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last year. Its a very nice property. PROS: Almost brand new Great bar/restaurant onsite Friendly staff Rooms are nice with flat LCD TVs and dark wood CONS: Parking is a bit of a hassle. Its in a public garage next to (not not connected to) the hotel. Its about $8... more

The Coralville Marriott is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfy and come complete with wonderful reading lights. Perfect when one person wants to read in bed and the other wants to sleep. At the time we stayed there was free high speed internet in the guest rooms. The restaurant is good and there... more

I've only stayed here twice and will be looking for another hotel next time I am in Coralville. I've been on the second floor and the fourth floor and both rooms had an overwhelming odor of mildew upon walking through the door. The service has definitely been spotty as well. Sometimes the service is great and other times I wonder... more

On one hand, I was definitely impressed with the Coralville Marriott. It’s a very modern and swanky property done up in rich woods, strong primary colors and artwork from local artists. The Iowa Writer’s Library is a nice touch as well. It provides a nice sanctuary from the tumult of the main lobby. The furnishings in the rooms and public... more
