We chose the Fairfield Inn for our recent trip to Omaha because the Omaha hotels were expensive and not highly rated on Tripadvisor. The Fairfield Inn turned out to be a good choice. The hotel is located near several major highways so getting around town was a breeze. It is also located near major retailers such as Wal-Mart, and some... more

I thought that this would have a been mother/daughter getaway, but it was not. We checked into to the Fairfield Inn in Council Bluffs, IA on March 19th. When I made the reservations with Marriott, I was told that this was a smoke free property, so I thought great...well, maybe it is, but from the smell of the smoke in... more

There was a young guy working the front desk when we arrived around 8:30pm. He assigned us a room that had smoke and a burning smell coming out of the heater. He reassigned us a room and I inquired about a crib I had reserved. He first told me he didn't know where they were, then told me they were... more

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bedding was fluffy and soft. The staff and manager were helpful and pleasant. The only negative was that the pool area was out of towels and we did not have any trash bags in our room. The breakfast bar was well stocked with many choices.... more

I stayed here on my way from Denver to Minneapolis. I reserved the room ahead of time at a rate of $119 for the Thursday night stay. Based on the price and the 2.5 stars I saw it rated on another site, I thought I was getting a pretty nice hotel. I was very disappointed in the quality and location,... more

This hotel is in a great location near the interstate, with easy access to the Henry Doorly Zoo. There are a number of chain restaurants to choose from in the area and it's not far from downtown Omaha. The room was clean, staff friendly, and it was safe. The only problem was the small table instead of a desk, which... more

We stayed 2 nights in room 303 - first thing I look for is cleanliness and this hotel had it. The room had 2 nice queen sized beds with crisp, white bedding - you could smell them and know they were clean. The bathroom and carpets were clean too. The cleaning staff came Saturday morning and cleaned the room while... more

Nice stay at the Fairfield. Easy access from the interstate. Very clean rooms, and exceptionally comfortable beds. Desk clerk was friendly, and check-out was easy with the statement under the door the next morning. The continental breakfast was great, with the exception of the young woman who had beem maintaining it - she was sick, coughing, etc., and went home.... more

The rooms and breakfast were fine. We were pulling a trailer and had it parked in the parking lot. When we went to leave we saw that someone had used some bolt cutters and snipped the padlock on the trailer. When reported to the front desk, the clerk said that that had happened before and wasn't particularly concerned about it.... more

This hotel is a popular place for people who come to Omaha for the Berkshire-Hathaway Annual Meeting. Yes, those people who can afford stock that costs $3,800 a share. (That's the "baby" Berkshire stock. Class A stock is closer to $100K per share.) A little irrelevant to my review, of course, but it's interesting to see the Rich but Frugal... more
