We were in Decorah for Luther College's Family Day. All of the hotels book up at least one year in advance--except for this one. There isn't enough lodging available in Decorah to handle the volume of travellers brought in by the college. Many people end up staying 20+ miles away. we used the hotel for our entire wedding guest and the hotel was awful...very out of date. we payed for our photographers room and when he tried to check in they told him he didn't have a room to stay in. the only helpful person there was the assit. mgr Mary. she was very helpful in the stressful situation. no... more

What a PLEASURE it was to stay at The Bluffs Inn. Our room was very comfortable (great beds) and VERY QUIET because of the concrete walls used in building the motel. We have ben coming to Decorah over the past 20 years and have stayed at all the motels in Decorah at one time or another and have found none... more

This place is in a small town with a lot of character. This hotel has none. It needs to be completely redecorated and painted. The decor dates back to the 1980's with lots of ducks with bows pictures and dried floral arrangements. There are magazines EVERYWHERE. It felt totally cluttered.
