Ok only stayed 1 night. Room was ok. I wish there was water or mini bar in room. Coffee maker in room so that was good! No body lotion in bathroom but they did have toothpaste! I would have liked slippers. And I found the alarm clock difficult to set so needed to rely on blackberry.

My husband and I have stayed at Hyatt Place on two different occasions while in Des Moines for family gatherings and really enjoy this hotel. It's clean, cosy, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. It's on the skywalk system so you can walk inside to many restaurants, bars, and shops, including the popular Court Avenue area.

The hotel rooms are luxurious and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. There was a nice free shuttling service. The front desk was amateur at best and not very professional. The free continental breakfast could have been much better. Overall, it was a good experience.

Warm, friendly, and helpful. Rooms are huge! Stayed here two weeks earlier. Both experiences were great. Colors are comforting, noise doesn't carry into the room from the hall. Valet parking works great.

Probably the best hotel in Des Moines. Great service, breakfast, facilities. The only reason why I give only 4 stars is a cleaning lady not willing to clean the room. Convenient valley parking with unlimited in-out privileges. For those who has late flights 24-hour reception is great. The hotel has a shuttle service that would drive you wherever you want.
