We stayed in the Hampton Inn for two nights of our weekend in Galena. Just 15 miles from Galena and the drive was pleasant. We normally stay in Comfort Inns and we were most impressed with this Hampton Inn. We booked here thanks to rave reviews on TripAdvisor, and, as usual, ended up happy. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful --- even though we arrived at 1:00 AM. This looked like a newer Hampton Inn; the bed was soft but not too soft, the furniture was in great condition, it was a quiet hotel not street noise, the breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn fare which means it was good. I'd stay here again. more
