“Don't do the Brunch”

Though the Hotel is beautiful the food is LESS than desirable. We did the brunch for Mother's day. We ahd a party of 10 (not a cheap lunch). If you enjoy staying in "period" hotels that have been refurbished, the Julien in Dubuque is an excellent choice. Room was very good with stained bed spread being the only complaint. “Masterpiece on the Mississippi”

Fourth stay at this historic hotel, block from the Mississippi River and former hangout of the infamous gangster, Al Capone.
