Stayed in Elk Horn due to hotels being booked in Atlantic, Iowa. The hotel was very clean. There are two floors and no elevator. The pool was out of service while we were there. The breakfast consisted of biscuits and gravy, cereals and waffles. More

We were diverted from original plan of staying in Council Bluffs because of the flooding. I was nervous to go 5 Miles off I-80 but was pleasantly surprised when we pulled in. Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and towels were very soft. Town is charming and The Danish Inn one block away had great food. Would stay again. More

We have no complaints on this motel. It is about 7 miles north of I 80. It was clean & quiet. Had a decent breakfast. We walked to their very small town, alot of closed stores. We stopped in a bar/restaurant for a beer. Very friendly owners. Had a buffet dinner down the block from the bar. Was ok. It's... More

Hotels between Council Bluffs and Des Moines leave something to be desired. Mom and Pop shops, English optional, that seem run down and get more run down every year. We always felt that were were staying in somebody's guest room, since the lobby would be full of personal furniture, maybe a kitchen, a stack of laundry. Plus, it never seemed... More

Extremely comfortable accomodations with a very caring and knoledgeable front desk staff. Easy to walk to all Danish community attractions with the town's landmark Windmill just acroos the street. Closeby is The Danish Immigrant Museum-- Worthy of a visit. Make your own Belgium Waffle for morning breakfast More

Stacy at the front desk was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We only stayed one night. We also received a coupon for dinner close by. It was a great area for walking my dog, plenty of green spaces, sidewalk if you wanted to site see towards town - and right across from historic windmill and park.... More

I stayed at the Americinn for 6 nights while on business at Elk Horn and Kimbalton. The rooms were very quiet and the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillow variety. The staff was very nice and lots of coffee available all the time. The breakfast could have had more of a variety but it was free. There was... More

Was suprised how nice this hotel was. Rooms were clean and spacious. Front desk was friendly. Gave us an awesome deal for staying there for so long. The lobby was big. Breakfast had variety to it. You could make waffles, sausage and gravy. They had fruit, yogurt, cereal, danish treats, and breads. More

We loved staying here. The motel is about 1 year old. The staff was great. Sharon was particularly nice. We loved how it was set on the edge of town, across from the last windmill allowed to leave Denmark. We visited the area from NYC to see the State Cornhusking Contest. More
