This hotel is in bad shape. It used to be pretty decent when it was a different hotel under different ownership. It is now smelly, dirty, and run down. The carpet is disgusting and all the chairs in the room and breakfast area are stained and grungy. The rooms smell like old smokey rooms that have been sprayed with some... more

The hotel staff is very nice but the place is a bit run down. The 2nd night we stayed we got back to the hotel & as soon as you opened the outside doors there was the nastiest smell in both the lower & upper corridors. It was still there the next day! Also, the rooms had a stale smoky... more

This place is so bad it is like a movie. It fills up for graduations at the local college, but beware. It is a one star hotel for a reason. There are better places up in Des Moines. more
