My husband and I were in Iowa City to visit the university, and selected the Alexis Park Inn based on the many great reviews here. We were not disappointed! The suites are HUGE -- easily twice the size of any standard hotel room -- and the rates were incredibly reasonable. We paid less than a hundred bucks for a suite... more

Our family enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Alexis Inn just prior to the Thanksgiving 2008 weekend. We arrived on Sunday around Noon and had use of the Inn's courtesy vehicle for the day. I felt a bit like I was staying at an old apartment I had while in college. I stayed in a nice, reasonably appointed efficiency room (the Memphis Belle room). If I were a young teenager, this place would've been amazing. I would have loved the various aviation themed rooms. But, today it is just a feature I could live... more

What a disgusting motel!!! They are rude and UNaccomodating!! Incredibly RUDE and ignore your requests. Filthy, gross and cars are NOT safe more

The Alexis Park is definitely a nice, old-fashioned example of a non-chain motel; I found the room clean and comfortable (particularly the bed) and the front desk staff polite, friendly, and helpful. My wife and I have stayed at the Alexis Park Inn & Suites on several occasions, both with and without our children. The atmosphere and service are incredible.
