This property is listed as "smoke-free", both at the site and through Expedia. It may be now, but it's been smoked in for years before, and it still shows. Our room smelled of old stale smoke. Drapes, carpets, wallpaper, all hold the smell and have not been updated, or even cleaned well enough to eliminate past smoking smells. The property... more

We booked a night at the Heartland Inn in Mount Pleasant because our preferred motel has no properties in that city. We were looking forward to the "hearty breakfast" and the no smoking hotel appealed to us. A couple of teen softball teams were booked the same night and they were a bit noisy throughout the night. My family stayed at the Heartland Inn during a family reunion and their people were so friendly. The breakfast was also great. They had so much food to choose from and with four of us in our family it saved us some money not to have to eat out. If that wasn't enough they had popcorn and cookies for us... more

This hotel had great serta pillow top beds. It was one of the better nights of sleep that I have had in a hotel. I travel a lot for business and this hotel more than met my expectations. more
