10. Nothing (bedspreads, furniture, carpet, light fixtures, telephones, wallpaper, employees, promotional video, brochures) has been updated since the resort's mid-seventies debut. 9. There's cable, but the TV is so small, you don't know what's on. 8. No WIFI in the rooms. 7. Where's the lake? I don't know! You can't see it! 6. DVD rentals are futile when the room... more

We have just finished unpacking from an 8 night over $2000 experience at the Village West resort. My daughter was playing in a soccer tournament in Okoboji this weekend and we went up early to have a family vacation. My family has stayed at several places on west lake okoboji since I was a little girl, I have never stayed... more

My wife, nine-month old and I stayed at this resort on an RCI exchange. We got a one-bedroom with kitchen, in the newer buildings on L row, away from the main building (but not too far). Spirit Lake - Arnolds Park, Iowa is a very nice area, tucked away in the upper Midwest. The air is crisp and clean lacking farming smells, the waters of West and East Lake Okoboji is clear/beautiful.
