I had not stayed at Walcot House before, but booked a single room months ago. Emails in the booking process were answered promptly. Helpful and welcoming hosts and convenient parking. Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a double. Spotlessly clean, shiny en suite shower room and very comfortable bed. TV and free wifi very useful. The breakfast was excellent and you... More

We had a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room (family for 4) was clean, tidy and spacious. Teas, coffee & chocolate in rooms with biscuits :) Lovely cooked breakfast with a great selection to choose from as well as fruit and cereals. Would definitely return :)

I work all over the country and stay in guest houses, hotels and b&bs almost every week. The walcot house is by far one of the best. Off road parking, beautiful spotlessly clean rooms, excellent breakfast menu, the list goes on. I work nightshift and slept soundly every day without disturbance even though the hotel is on the main road.... More

I had to travel 250 miles and needed an overnight stop for a 10.00.o'clock appointment. It is some years since I have used B&B acc, but Walcot House came recommended and I learnt why. Easily found in pouring rain I parked next to the entrance and was able to keep my luggage dry. Welcomed warmly I climbed just one flight... More

Both work and vacation take me all over the world and have stayed in 100's of assorted hotels, but having had bad experiences many years ago I stay away from Bed and Breakfast accommodations, therefore I was a little hesitant when my boss booked Walcot House for me. I couldn't have been more wrong, I was warmly welcomed by Marie... More

Now about to return for my (approx) 15th visit to Marie & Steve's with my long-term girlfriend, who has been with me for the majority of my visits, we know we will... More

We chose Walcot House for its proximity to Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway and we couldn't have chosen a more comfortable or convenient place to stay. The room we had was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. The choice of food was excellent and Marie is a splendid cook. We ordered an evening meal in advance... Staying for three nights at the Walcot was a perfect peaceful and very much needed break for my husband and myself. Having found the hotel a few weeks ago my sister-in-law and myself stayed for 2 nights while we cleaned my Dad;s house. He passed away and the house was in dire need of plenty of elbow grease to complete... More
