I stayed one night in the Garden Room, August 26 while heading west to Denver. Had a great nights sleep in the comfortable, oversized bed. Even had a floor fan in the room, my favorite! Great location to park the car and hit a few restaraunts/bars downtown in walking distance. Nice hostess, great breakfast............. Will stay again. more

I can't say much about this bed & breakfast because my wife and I were turned away at the door. The story begins in April when I first called to make reservations for my wife and I on our wedding night. I called the number on the website during business hours but just went to voicemail. I left a message... more

This is a pretty accurate account of what happened to this unfortunate couple on their wedding night, of all nights. (By the way, my "worst nightmare," too. It made me ill.) I did lose their reservation--unforgiveable--and since I had no vacancies that night, I helped them find a room at one of the better motels in town. That's a poor...

Stayed in the Garden room last weekend for FHSU graduation. The room is awesome, huge, with an adjustable bed, which I slept great in. The award winning breakfast was a great way to start the day. The next night I stayed in the Ramada and I regretted it bigtime. We usually stay in the Tea Rose Inn when visiting relatives... more

My husband brought me to this wonderful little B&B as a surprise for our 25th wedding anniversary. When we first drove by (I didn't know at the time what we were doing) I thought to myself, "That must be a nice Bed and Breakfast." The Bed and Breakfast is a Victorian style home on the corner of downtown. The home... more

This is an average B and B that offers a nice alternative to the chains along the interstate. It allows you to enjoy the shops and restaurants of downtown without having to drive. The neighborhood is convenient but not quaint or scenic. No off-street parking. The rooms are well-appointed and very clean and, and the proprietor is friendly and accomodating... more

I have stayed at the Tea Rose Inn many times over the past 8 years and it remains a consistently great experience. The rooms are comfortable and contain everything one needs for a relaxing nights stay. The Inn is located directly across the street from the courthouse making it very convenient if court business brings you to town. Rita makes... more

Hays is a small town and most of its hotels and motels are dumpy. For a competitive price, the Tea Rose Inn is much more cosy. An elegant old home, its public areas have been gracefully restored. The rooms are a little less impressive, with cloth pinned to the walls in lieu of paint or paper, and sound communicates pretty... more

Many guests at the Tea Rose Inn have thanked me for not filling it with "too much stuff," especially in the guest rooms. My decorating style may seem spare compared to older Victorian homes. (The Tea Rose Inn is in a 100-year-old house.) While I love to tour grand, overfilled homes, like me, not everyone finds them that comfortable for...

I stopped here twice. Once on my way to Colorado from Missouri and once on the way back. It is a great halfway point. This B&B is in a beautiful old building that has been remodled. The inn keeper is very friendly and makes amazing breakfasts. All the rooms are very well decorated and clean. My wife loved it too(it... more
