Holton House is by far the best place to stay in Holton! From the moment we arrived, to the departing last wave, we could feel the warmth and genuine hospitality that Shaun and Tara possess. Their's is a labor of love and a genuine "family affair" and the experience could not have been more wonderful. We were in town for a funeral (not the happiest of times), but returning each night to Holton House was like stepping into our own quiet oasis. From the evening treat of chocolate cake, enjoyed on our private balcony, to the fabulously delicious gourmet breakfast, everything was done with the comfort and needs of the visitor coming first. We took advantage of Tara's culinary skills by utilizing their dining room for a family dinner (25 people) which was absolute perfection. Their children helped with the presentation of food and drink and were absolutely precious, adding immensely to our enjoyment of the meal.
