I stayed a week with Joanne and "bucky" at her beautiful old home. The moment I walked in the door I felt at home. The house is full of wonderful antiques and primitives. The breakfast were a real treat with a different taste each morning. Joanne is a wonderful hostess and made my holiday that much more special. This was a happy ending to a bad experience with a motel-chain reservation gone awry.

Greeted warmly by innkeeper, Joanne & her friend, Cheryl, we had a restful, interesting stay at this Bed & Breakfast. We were in Bardstown as vendors, www.chocolate-candy.com, to sell our Ky Bourbon Chocolates @ the annual Bourbon Festival. The Best Western had "lost" our yearly reservations because it had been sold during past year. The Bourbon Festival/Tourist Commission helped us locate the Homestead Bed & Breakfast.

We were in awe of the loving rebuild/restoration of the 1700s log home & the meticulous attention to the historical research of the slaves who had lived there...gone but NOT forgotten by Joanne! Between Joanne's German Feather Trees, the work of other Ky Folk Artists & antiques, we could have spent days browsing in the home & shop!
