Monica at the front desk greeted us graciously when we arrived around 8 pm. She was helpful in answering our questions. Our stay at the hotel was for one night. We picked this particular area so we could tour Mammoth Caves before getting back on the highway to complete our drive much further south. The hotel is newer and is... more

We had to stay in Cave City because the hotel at Mammoth Cave was closed during the week. This was a typical Comfort Inn. The hotel was very clean with one exception. The screen in the room was not fully in the window and there was a space between the window and the screen. During the evening the sun was... more

After reading some reviews from this site I admit I was somewhat skeptical about staying here. However we decided to go ahead and give it a try based on our past satisfactory experiences with Choice Hotels. Russ checked us in and was very personable and knowledgeable about the hotel, local area, attractions, etc. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and... more

Stayed here 8/8/09. Paid $149 before tax, and felt ripped off (although, the hotel did sell out that night so I guess supply and demand indicates they could have charged more). The lobby and front desk service were okay. The room was okay, although the pull out mattress was gross, gross, gross. The main bed was fine. The bathroom appeared... more

This hotel was advertised as "now open", but when I asked when they opened, it was 3 years ago. From the outside, it looks newer, but the furniture looks like it's much older than 3 years old. The pool area was nice and the staff friendly, but I'd look elsewhere. The first room we got was dirty and had no... more

My family and I stayed one night at Comfort Inn while we visited Mammoth Cave. It was a last minute reservation which was no problem. Check inn was fast. Third floor room was nice and clean and I think this is a newer hotel. My boyfriend loved the bed it was one where if you moved your better half didn't... more

We ended up at this property when the Hampton in Horse Cave experienced a storm related power outage. When we arrived we were informed that they had rooms and the cost was 120 (140 after taxes). We felt a little taken advantage of, but turns out this is there normal price. This place was clean. The pool was small and... more

I peg this as an above-average hotel because I believe you have to take the surrounding area into account before judging. Cave City is full of tourist traps and legitimate attractions alike. Surely the people complaining about the tackier attractions looked around a little before booking? I'm not sure why they'd complain when it's pretty clear what the area is... more

Considering we had stayed at the WigWam Village the night before this was a slight improvement, the staff was not much friendlier, the beds slept actually a little worse than the ones at the wigwams, it was cleaner and the indoor pool was the reason for our stay but other than that I was not overly impressed and felt overcharged.... more

My husband, myself, and our 5 year old daughter visited Cave City last weekend to see the caves, etc. We stayed at this hotel based on the location, the reviews, and the overall appearance of the hotel. When we arrived in the lobby to check in I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and newness of the hotel. Seeing the... more
