...stay for only one night, it's fine. We needed to stop on our way home to Wisconsin from Atlanta over Memorial Day Weekend, and this was what we could find for a relatively affordable price. The $68 charge was a little much for what we got.
I'll start with the positives. It's in a good location. We were able to easily walk to Churchill Downs to have a look around. It's also near Cardinal Stadium, Six Flags, and the fairgrounds. The restaurant across the street, the Cardinal Hall of Fame, was actually really good and affordable. The bedding in the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. We could walk on the carpeting without getting our socks dirty (this should be a no-brainer, but sadly, we've had that experience with Days Inn in the past).
The hotel needs some work. The front door squeaks obnoxiously when it opens and closes. The room itself was really worn. It's quite obvious that the room used to be a double queen that they've changed...
