I have stayed here on three occasions and overall, it is not a bad place to stay. The hotel is conveniently located to a number of places in Baton Rouge and there are several eatable places in the area. After reviewing recent comments about hotels in Baton Rouge (and having been to Baton Rouge and NOLA twice in the immediate aftermath of Katrina) I honestly didn't expect to find a really good hotel. Not looking for anything fancy, just a clean and quiet place to sleep with a fridge, microwave and workout area, and offering a nice hot breakfast.... more

Read the great reviews, really wanted to stay here. Tried to get reservation 1 1/2 weeks ahead of stay -- but they were sold out. Lesson: For this hotel, make your reservations early!! more

I became familiar with this hotel when my son attended LSU and it was very near his apartment. Clean, clean, clean - Usually have special rates for suite around $99.00. Although I had heard many wonderful things about Homewood Suites from a friend, nothing prepared me for the wonderful time we had. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was great. There were a lot of little amenities that impressed me. The kitchen was also well stocked. My husband didn't want to leave. He was really impressed.... more

We stayed here because of a package deal that was offered in the paper; the staff acted like they did not know anything about the special when you actually call to book the thing. So when I said I would speak to a manager the clerk gave me the advertised price. I feel if something is advertised the staff should... more

We stayed here on our way back from Florida last year, I found a great price on the web and took a chance (not knowing Baton Rouge at all) and it was wonderful! Located by alot of places to eat and had a great free breakfast, really nice rooms for a family of 4, nice pool, nice people. Really nice.... more
