I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Our tour group needed a hotel for one night on our way through Louisiana on I-10. We checked the other holel near the interstate first, but they didn't have non-smoking rooms. I was skeptical about the Days Inn because experience tells me they're usually run down and dirty. Trip advisor called this the #1 hotel in Hammond. I can only assume that lack of hotel reviews in this area resulted in this hotel being #1. We stayed in this hotel for one night in August 2007 and were very pleased. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The woman working at the front desk at check in and throughout the evening was friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Room clean, well furnished and supplied, room has an extension with sofa and secretary desk. Nice pool. Excellent services. Internet access always appreciated at Days Inn. We were travelling and we decided to stay a few days to relax and drove to New Orleans from here to visit (1hour to down town) more
