Most of the Lake Charles hotels were booked during a recent trip but the Days Inn had rooms. After staying there I understand why. The dark, dank, musty rooms felt dirty--I didn't even want to walk on the floor/carpet barefoot. The place is ok, not much different than any other Days Inn. Price is reasonable for the area. My biggest gripe is the poor location. Its on a one-way access road to I-10 and although easy enough to find you pretty much have to hit I-10 and cross the river and go into Westlake to buy a pack of nabs... more
