A good standard motel with net access, small pool. Clean, nice rooms, a bit far from the french quarter but right off I-10. Paid about $80 a night. The Extended Stay is nearby and has a kitchen (I've stayed there too). Across the interstate (north) is Morning Call (great coffee & beignets), Lakeside mall, drive through daiquiri places, eataries. South... more

This is an older, tired La Quinta which they superficially tried to brighten up with renovations. The front desk clerk was indifferent, did not make eye contact and did not smile. The property was full of work crews, mostly cable repair men who were repairing damage from hurricane Ivan. It was a sight to see... men walking around on cell... more

RECOUNT OF MY NIGHT AT "THE PROJECTS"! I was forced to evacuate my home due to Hurricane Ike and looked for a hotel somewhere in the Metairie/Kenner area. We had a friend traveling with us who had small pets who needed a hotel which would accept them. This hotel was one of few which accepted pets in that area. We... more

We stayed at this hotel because it was very close to where my husband's father lives. We have had previous good experiences with the La Quinta chain, and my husband's father even said that he had stayed in this hotel and found it acceptable. When we got to our room, the first thing that both our son and I noticed... more

The stay was pleasant and the staff was accommodating, the room and facility were clean, but the room and furnishings were dated, well worn and in need of attention. Some of the needed repair may be related to Katrina, since a number of nearby buildings have not been repaired and reopened since Katrina. We would probably stay again at this... more

A group of men stayed here while on a mission/construction trip with our church. The property was older, but our rooms were all neat and clean. The front desk folks were very helpful in trying to accomodate us. The breakfast was good, complete with hot waffles, although the eating area is a bit small. One day they ran out of... more

Our son had to sleep on the floor because the rollaway bed that we requested when we booked our room over the internet wasn't available when we arrived at the hotel. The front desk told us that they were all out. Why couldn't one be held for us? To her credit, the night front desk clerk did make an effort... more

This was the absolute dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed in!! When i got there and closed the curtain a huge roach came crawling down the curtain, and when i hit it and it fell, I could not find it after. Then as my boyfriend was looking for it, and moving around the bed mattress another HUGE roach came... more

I was so scared here. It was an outside motel- anyone could walk up to your door. It was loud and a bunch of lowclass people staying there- I wanted to leave but I had already prepaid- never again! more
