The World Championship GUMBO COOKOFF in New Iberia last October 2009 was a fun food & musical event for three wonderful days in French-inspired Louisiana.

Fabulous food, music and dancing to local Cajun & zydeco bands.Kudos to the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce for a spectacular event that enticed us down to Iberia Parish from New Jersey.

An elegant Cajun country bed & breakfast stay at "A Touch of Country" was quite enjoyable...service by host Belinda Armentor ranks with many world class B&Bs...the Ashley Cottage is both spacious and beautifully decorated...and close to many fascinating historical sites and entertainment...the most fun to be had on the Bayou Teche....Gerald and Pat Weaber more
