We stayed at the Comfort Inn Opelousas for 2 nights in late August 2009 while visiting family.
Upon check-in, we found everything to be still shiny and clean in its newness. The desk attendant was friendly and nice even when my husband had to refuse to surrender his government ID to him for copying (government employees are no longer supposed to allow their ID cards to leave their possession when checking into hotels).
The breakfasts were very nice - a full continental spread with cereals, instant oatmeals and grits, waffle maker, toaster and various breads, pastries, and fruit. The juice machine produced horrible orange juice though, I have to mention. It was obviously mixing tap water with concentrate in the machine and the result was a very watery juice with the concentrate settling quickly to the bottom of the cup. Bleh.
