Let me start out by saying that in general I do not care for bed and breakfasts, and avoid them like the plague. However, because of scheduling issues beyond my control, I had to stay here for a business trip in mid-April.
Our innkeeper was extremely conscientious, and welcomed us at midnight after arriving on late flights in New Orleans. She was up at 6:30 am, and had prepared a full continental breakfast for us by that time. She was extremely personable and kind despite her lack of sleep.
This is an older home with lots of character...and lots of knick-knacks and more tchotckes than you can shake a stick at. As my bonhommie colleague put it, it could use some "editing". Our rooms were in the loft upstairs (a converted attic) with a shared bathroom (tough for four adults not related to one another).
My bedroom had a lovely bedroom suite, but was so jampacked with furniture, it was hard to manuever without running into a silk flower...
