This is my second time to stay at the Myrtles but my first time to stay in the main house. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. Hosts are very hospitable and knowledgeable about plantation and other tourist info. The breakfast and carriage house restaurant are awesome. The Carriage House Restaurant menu seems to change a little between... More

St. Francisville has an impressive concentration of historic plantation homes. With the exception of Greenwood Plantation, the homes are not particularly grand, but they are all worth visiting. The special charms of The Myrtles Plantation are the well-maintained grounds and the friendly people. The grounds feature large oak trees, a pleasant pond surrounded by cypress trees and rose bushes, abundant... More

My mom, sister and I stayed in the cottage and was pleasantly surprised and how beautiful and accommodating the cottage was. Nicely decorated, quiet, peaceful, low-key environment. Mark Leonard did the historic tour and haunted tour and we all loved the history of the plantation and the enthusiasm he brought to it. No tv, or wifi, just nature. There was... More

I just visited the Myrtles for my gramd daughter's birthday. There was 6 of us. my daughter, grand daughter (14 years old) and 3 of her girl friends. We had so much fun. Caught some orbs on camera which was exciting, but the bonding we all shared was the greatest part! We loved it and plan on going back! Thank... More

My wife and I stayed at the Myrtles on April 30 and had a great time. The history of the house as told by Hester was very entertaining and set a mood of anticipation in spending the night. Our fellow guest really made the stay special, as we visited late into the witching hours on the patio and veranda trading... More

I enjoyed our stay. The house and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Old with cracks and age damage but expected for a 200 year old house. It was peaceful. Well except some nights drunks would come staggering up seeking ghosts or other guests got a little hyper. All in all it was a great historic home. On... More

We were only staying here a night and were originally supposed to have 3 people so we got the Caretakers Cottage. It was rustic- more like a summer camp than a fancy Bed and breakfast. There are bunk beds and a queen size bed. No TV or internet. Make sure you bring bug spray too because it is near the... More

I had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Myrtles Plantation B&B on 4-2-2013 and had a delightful experience. My 15 year old grandson and I stayed in the Judge Clarke Woodruff Suite. The staff was gracious and courteous as well as professional. The grounds are beautiful and was welcomed to explore at our leisure, any hour of night or... More
