Jill and Skip made our stay a pleasure. Their breakfast is out of this world. The house is charming and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Hosts helped us plan outings and made many valuable suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. St. Martinville is a special destination in its own right, as the location of the Evangeline Oak, but it... More

Jill and Skip made us feel comfortable the moment we arrived at Bienvenue House. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, and great conversation with our hosts and other guests. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed with bath salts, various amenities, robes and candles. I enjoyed sitting on the upstairs balcony reading my book for a couple... More

This is a totally dreamy B & B -- I can't think of any place I'd rather stay (and we travel loads). Skip and Jill are amazing hosts. They welcomed us in with fresh lemonade and told us all about the area (and even took us to see alligators when our swamp tour got rained out). The house is an... More

This circa 1830 was a delight to stay in. You stay in the charming old home in any of 4 bedrooms tastefully decorated with Jill's creative touch. 3 of the rooms face the street. There are many nice, romantic touches such as bath salts, robes and candles. Our room, the Josephine was on the second floor and had walk through... More

Jill and skip were outstanding hosts. Every attention to detail was thought out from the decor to the goody bags on the bed. We felt very relaxed there and enjoyed the alternative eggs benedict with local Tasso ham and cheesy grits. The balcony outside the rooms made for a relaxing nightcap area after dinner at a local restaurant called St... More

Our several day stay at the Bienvenue House was the perfect introduction to the Cajun Country of Louisiana. The house was built in 1830 and has that old style charm along with the modern conveniences. I'm a lover of claw foot bathtubs, and each of the 4 guest rooms has a perfect one. The breakfasts were a Southern taste treat.... More

We were at the Bienvenue House the first week of December. Jill and Skip were so gracious. They stayed up late into the night listening to my mother and aunt tell their stories of visiting Louisiana as young children. Jill also made my 7-year-old niece feel very special. The rooms were spacious and charming. After we left Bienvenue House, we... More

I have never been there, but I have had the hospitality of Jill & Skip in Washington state. The are the best, and we miss them very much! Should stay at their place and have Jill's ham! More

We stayed here for 5 nights while attending a wedding nearby. Breakfast was made from scratch each morning, with chilled fresh squeezed orange juice, good Louisiana coffee, breakfast breads, and on different days, quiche, pancakes and eggs, eggs benedict, and each day a fresh fruit dish. Jill, the hostess, is friendly and relaxed. The table was set with tablecloth, china... More

My brother has been staying at this Bed and Breakfast periodically over the last 2 years and really loved it. St. Martinville is town of our childhood and the birthplace of his wife. So they go back to relax and visit with members of her family. I joined him for a short reunion over the week end of the International... More
