We stayed here for one night at the end of March, wish it was for longer. It is a great place to relax. We stayed in cottage 5B with the four post bed and claw foot tub. We came to the plantation to see the Trees and we were not disappointed. We didn't tour the house because that wasn't important... more

Our family rented guest cottage #4 for one night, and our experience could not have been better. The cottage was very clean and well appointed, and the Tempurpedic mattresses were so comfortable. I traveled with my mom and 3 daughters, ages 9, 12, and 16, and all enjoyed the stay and had positive things to say. The breakfast and lunch... more

We were extremely disappointed in our trip to Oak Alley Plantation. While the grounds are very clean, the charm this old home exudes is all a manufactured facade. Nothing real or true here. The little restaurant there, which serves an extremely limited menu, was okay in that there's no other restaurants in the area, so if you don't want to... more

We have toured the Oak Alley Plantation quite a few times in the past, but we have never stayed in their cottages. On this trip we were able to book Cottage #4 for 2 nights. We checked in at the gift shop & then they take you to your cottage where you also can park your car. The little white... more

Visited the plantation on a day trip from NOLA. Beautiful grounds. Had lunch at the cafe. Good food. Portions are large enough to share. Nice place more

Well then overnite at Oak Alley! They offer temper-pedic matresses in most rooms, which one sinks deep into, paricularly at the hips. After a night of sleeping with my pelvis folded I woke with feet and hands tingling. After complaining to management they offered me the Doctor's Cottage which still has your usual matress. It was however very soft AND... more

My husband and I stayed at Oak Alley Plantation bed and breakfast for one night in November, 2006. The mansion is an absolutely beautiful place! The grounds are gorgeous and the tour was interesting and informative. It is in a great location to base a tour of the Old River Road plantations. The restaurant prepared an excellent southern breakfast --... more

We arrived late after a long flight. The young man who showed us our accomodations at the Doctor's Cottage had an odd way of speaking. "This will be your bedroom. This will be your kitchen. This will be your fireplace." All with a charming deep southern accent. We wondered when these things would be ours. The outside of the cottage... more

My best friend gave me a weekend get-a-way with her as a graduation gift upon receiving my M.Ed. Our intinerary included an over-night stay at Oak Alley first, then an over-night stay at the Myrtles in St.Francisville (see other review). Oak Alley is a CLASS act!!!! We first took the tour of the plantation house, included in our stay. The... more

Okay so a lot of films were made here and the live oak alley is breathtaking but the overnight accomodations are truly overpriced as well as overrated. They do have a great little bookshop/restaurant but book overnight stays down the road at Nottoway, where you will be treated like royalty. more
