Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beds are firm and the cleaning people never came in to clean our room. We didn’t have new towels out trash was never taken out we ran out of Kleenex. The beds were never made the night stand drawer handle was missing a screw. The entertainment center bottom drawer you could open but it wouldn’t close all the way.

I stayed for 2 nights, earler this week. Was greeted by a nice clerk at the front desk. I got a very clean room, smelling of fresh linen. Nice big cable tv, comfortable bed, rocking recliner fridge, and microwave. Old motel, but had been renovated. No problems with the heater/ac. The plumbing worked fine. Nice brightly lit vanity mirror above the sink. The room was quiet, considering the the airport was nearby. The bed was very comfortable. The staff I saw were friendly, accommodating, if I needed something. Ample parking whether arriving by car, truck, rv, 5th wheel. There was a smoking lot close, but far enough away from the entrance. My breakfast to go contained enough food for an army. For a travel motel, I would gladly recommend friends and family to stay there. Great experience. Fyi. Pat’s pizza (via DoorDash), was delivered to the doir. Hot and fast. Good pizza too.

This hotel was 30 degrees when I entered and the windows were wide open in February in Maine. I had to close the windows and lock them and heat the room up upon arrival. The next morning there was no hot water for me to take a shower and staff did not seem the least bit interested in trying to help. I asked for a refund and they treated me like a person trying to scam them and get out of paying for the room. I will never be back. I spent the next 6 days at the Comfort Inn instead who were amazing.

Informed by night clerk the online rates are never actually available???When leaving at 5am the same clerk was sitting in a lobby chair covered in a blanket watching tv.The breakfast grab and go bags were sitting behind the front desk, asked if we could get one,and lazy clerk wouldnot get up and hand us one ,told us not until 6 am.Really disappointing experience, nothing like our stay at Super8 in Florida where the night and daytime staff were always helpful and pleasant.

We were our of town when the Dec 18th wind and rain storm occurred. We came home to know power and a basement full of water. This hotel was the only room vacancy could find in Bangor. I asked to see the room before paying. I was pleasantly surprised as I know what the hotel was like 19 years ago. Our room was very clean. The bathroom sparkled it was so clean. It looked newly renovated. The hallway smelled clean. The beds were comfortable, the heat easy to manage and pillows great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee and hot water for tea was available 24 /7 in the lobby area. In the morning they had grab and go bags and things to add to them. These were very helpful as we arrived when most places to eat had no power. We had to stay 3 nights before we got our power back. It was a very comfortable stay. No big lobby or pool or hot breakfast but when you need a place it was way above my expectations.

The night before I stayed at the worst hotel of my life and it was a Super 8 so I was very concerned. I was so happy once arriving. The outside was clean and decorated beautifully with seasonal flowers. Walking in we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who was welcoming and informative. Check in was a breeze. He made us feel comfortable and welcome to come to him with any issues. There is a TV at the desk that has many camera views which made us feel great about the car and location. The hallway smelled great and once entering the room we were very happy. Room was clean and fresh. The linens were very clean and the beds were so comfortable! Each night when we came back the room was tidy, cleaned, the beds made and fresh towels! The refrigerator kept our stuff cold! I read on someone else's review before complaining about the breakfast. It is a grab and go. It is a bag (similar to a handled gift bag) that had 2 granola type bars, 2 boxes of juice, a muffin and a pastry. There was available to add to your bag some yogurt, couple varieties of oatmeal, packages of boiled eggs and Sargento balanced breaks that contains dried fruit, nuts and cheese. There is coffee in the lobby or coffee maker and coffee in the room. I couldn't complain at all about this breakfast because we took what we wanted with us for snacks during the day. Fresh fruit could be added, but with all that is included it was fine for us. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile, a hello, small chitchat and each person at the desk wished us a good day or a welcome back. If I ever travel back to the area I would stay here again without a hesitation!

Quick stop while road tripping. Clean. comfortable beds. Linens, towels, and furnishings were in good shape. Lots of cameras in common areas and parking. Not a luxury hotel, but checked all the required boxes. The grab and go breakfast was great! Nice bags with danish, muffin, granola bar and two types of juice. Also had yogurt, oatmeal, fruit and coffee. Would stay again.

The rooms here are terrible! In my room I have found over 10 baby cockroaches, mold, hair everywhere in the bathroom, stains on the bedding, boogers on the wall, etc. Smelled damp and smoky in the common areas like hallways and lobby. Part of our booking was also for the advertised breakfast but there was no way we were sticking around or eating anything from this place.

Prior to our arrival, we had read a number of negative reviews regarding mold and general cleanliness. We found none of the bad reviews to be true. The room, while old, was freshly painted and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also fresh and clean. The staff were polite and helpful great value for the price.
