I was shocked. The Bass Harbor Country Cottages and Country Inn should be called "Rooms to Let". We stayed in room 2 of the "Inn". There is nothing "inn-like" about the Bass Harbor Inn. My fiancé and I spent the weekend in Bass Harbor, at the Bass Harbor Cottages. We stayed in the Boat House, which gave us an awesome view of the harbor. The innkeepers let us know about the restaurants & entertainment, and even gave us maps so we could explore on our own. They had brochures and menus from local restaurants... more
