I cannot even begin to describe how lovely this Inn is! Shadi, the wonderful Inn Keeper/Owner has turned this historic house into a warm, vibrant, welcoming home. The food was extraordinary, the conversation delightful, the room beautiful, the spa bathroom with Japanese soaking tub was so relaxing, and the bed was the most comfy bed Ive ever slept on. The... more

The Kismet Inn is a beautifully appointed small and very personal B&B experience that goes well beyond the usual. When you arrive you are greeted by innkeeper Shadi whom you already believe you know as she has taken much time and effort to anticipate your needs. She offers soothing yoga lessons, spa treatments, and a once in a life time... more

Kismet Inn is charming and perfectly located one block from the waterfront and a short walk to shops. Shadi, the Innkeeper, has taken great care renovating and decorating this ample, airy village house. My room and bath were splendidly clean and the bed divinely soft. Breakfast was healthy and homemade. Conversation, when I wanted it, was lively and international. In... more

I was so much in need of some much needed R&R that I encouraged a dear friend of mine to get away with me for a weekend. She recommended the Kismet Inn (and she has impeccable taste) so I knew it was a sure thing. The Inn Keeper Shadi Towfighi was a gem...she was very hospitable and warm. The Inn... more

My husband and I were driving through Maine and decided to stop and spend the night in the quaint little town of Bath, Maine. We were interested in getting a feel of the place and wanted to stay at a B & B instead of a hotel right off the freeway. We drove to the historic district of town and... more

How do we start? The inn keeper Shadi has passion for life, and yet she has a respect for the individual. The rooms have style unlike anywhere else we have stayed in Maine. The whole lodging business is aimed at making one relax, sit back and consider...well....whatever you wish, but you will take time to think of what makes you... more

A very different experience--true luxury accomplished with true simplicity. The innkeeper, Shadi Towfighi, apparently is able to make this happen by virtue of her insistence on only the highest standards for what counts as the best way of doing things. Wonderful bathrooms, interesting and tasty meals, and surprisingly interesting and substantial conversations all characterized our stay in a way that... more

Despite a few wrong turns on our trip up to Maine, when we finally arrived we were warmly greeted by Shadi with delicious homemade tea and sweets by the fire. It was a perfect way to spend a rainy evening and just what we needed after the stressful drive up. Shadi is warm and welcoming, it was great to hear... more

Innkeeper Shadi is soft-spoken, warm, and kind, and her soothing spirit infuses her inn. All the colors, fabrics, furniture, and even the food Shadi serves have clearly been carefully and thoughtfully chosen to create a peaceful and welcoming experience for her guests. We slept like babies, and felt really refreshed by the end of the weekend. Shadi can also make... more

Last year I wanted a retreat from the frenetic commercial madness of the holiday season, and couldn’t believe my luck when I came across this B&B. I was hoping to return this year, but now that I’ve realised that won’t be possible, in the spirit of the season I decided to recommend it to others hoping to escape holiday season... more
