A really quaint motel, the room was decorated in a country style with wooden shutters. As the temperature was below freezing outside we appreciated the good heating system. Didn't stay for breakfast as we had to get on our way, but it looked good, Would have liked to have had more time to look at the quilts that were on... more

My husband and I went to Maine a few days early for a conference so we could drive along the coast. Once there, we decided we would like to drive up into the mountains and see the fall foilage. We chose Bethel and looked through the Bethel travel guide to choose a place to spend the night, and thankfully we... more

Stayed one night while visiting friends and we were very pleasantly suprised. The room was cute and very clean. The woman(owner) behind the desk was helpful and friendly. The pool was small, but clean and refreshing. We got in late that night and it was great that the hot tub was open all night. One thing that I read in... more

My husband and I stayed at The Inn at the Rostay on July 4, 2009. We had a wedding to go to at Sunday River that started at 3:30pm. The normal check in time at the Rostay is 3:00pm, but they let us check in early when we arrived at 12:30pm. We were very thankful for that, as we needed... more

I stayed here based on numerous positive reviews, but was extremely disappointed. The room was initially freezing cold, but I was assured that the room would heat up fast. The problem is that there is a limiter on the thermostat, and the room was freezing cold all night. The furnishings were cheap, outdated, and not very clean. I was not... more

As owner of the Inn at The Rostay, I was very surprised to see such a negative review and curious as why it took 3 months to be posted . If such a guest stayed here I wish we were afforded a opportunity to address their concerns before their stay ended. We take great pride in our establishment and in...

As a disabled Veteran in a wheelchair who travels extensively around the United States I was somewhat concerned to discover all of the rooms at Sunday River were full during the Maine Handicapped Ski Veterans No Boundaries Ski week. What a wonderful surprise to discover that not only are the handicapped accessible rooms much more accessible than the ones so... more

The Rostay is just 5 miles from Sunday River. The motel rooms and bathrooms were recently updated - they're beautiful. THE ROOMS ARE SPOTLESS CLEAN. Our room had a queen bed, pull out sofa, small table with chairs, night table, and an amoire. The furniture is white washed pine with a beautiful quilt on the bed. Plus they have an... more

This is a great location close to Sunday river- we booked at the very last minute, not knowing what to expect. The rooms were clean and cozy, however the walls were thin and the price was a little high. The homemade breakfast you can purchase in the mornings however is GREAT! Blueberry Pancakes were the best! more

I don"t usually write reviews, but when I read the negative review about one of my favorite places to stay in Maine, I couldn"t keep my mouth shut! The Rostay is one of the cleanest and most friendly places my husband and I have ever stayed. Over the years we have been very satisfied with everything about the Rostay. We... more

Recently stayed at The Inn at the Rostay....very nice, clean, charming owners. More of a roadside motel than "hotel" or inn but worth a stay if you are in the area. It's well priced for what it is. Before you go...know that the picture of the 'pool' on their website is an above-ground pool rather in-ground, same for the hot... more
