coming into the very quiet town of Blue Hill we were totally suprised by the luxurious, friendly, warm stay. Our room was magnificent and well furnished. The decor was colonial period but totally uncluttered. The service was wonderful and extremely caring and attentive. Afternoon and early evening snacks were adventuresome and delicious. We were involved in a taste test of... more

Blue Hill Inn was everything we hoped for and more. The Cape House was so wonderfully relaxing with it's high, king sized bed, full kitchen if you wanted, separate TV area and the most peaceful deck. We stayed for 4 nights for a friend's wedding weekend and could have stayed much, much longer. The breakfasts were plentiful, varied and gourmet!... more

The new Innkeepers were on top of all the activities going on for a family wedding. They had all our information, the rooms ready, informational welcome notes for each family coming to the wedding. The room was like staying at Grandma's house. It was cozy and clean, and had just what was needed to stay. It was restful during our... more

We stayed at the Blue Hill for two nights, and found it well managed in every way. There are still some details to work out in the physical appearance of the inn, but no one is hiding this. Breakfasts were tasty and filling. Tea, coffee, and ice water were always available. The location is excellent. We look forward to the... more

A beautiful, relaxing, comfortable inn. Sarah is a wonderful host. She makes everyone feel at home. The breakfasts are a special treat. Blue Hill is ideally located to explore the surrounding area. more

Sarah is a natural at making people feel great in her 1830 inn--warmth, style and ready with tips and information. After walking through the town, enjoying the timeless seascapes, meeting several townspeople, we felt like we were characters in a vintage watercolor painting-and Sarah's inn is the centerpiece. She creates and nutures a true traveler's rest--we loved swapping the day's... more

My husband surprised me with a visit to the Blue Hill Inn and it was everything we wanted for a special weekend away. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a smile by everyone and experienced delightful service from all the staff. Our room was delightful, with the most comfortable comforter and pillows I've ever... more

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights over Labour Day weekend and absolutely loved it. The Inn has real olde worlde charm and is beautifully furnished. Great breakfasts and evening hors d'oeuvres and complimentary coffee available all day. The bed linens are crisp and our bed was very comfortable. Vases of flowers are around along with other little touches.... more

Authenticity is one of the nicest things about this very nice inn. It's the kind of old Federal Period building that almost speaks to you if you listen. The architecture is a bit quirky with a few odd angles and old pine floors. The gracious, connected drawing rooms have the air of being a place where many interesting conversations have... more

We carefully read through many Trip Advisor comments looking for that special place to stay in Maine to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted to be in a place without strip malls, tourists, and general hullabaloo. We found it in Blue Hill, which is a lovely elegant small town in the general vicinity of Acadia National Park . .... more
