I would not normal consider a B&B, and was surprised to find this was the best accommodation on the trip, the other hotels were all reported as 4* hotels. B&B is personal, the owners were friendly, and gave recommendations for local restaurants. My husband and I got married in Boothbay last month, and our entire wedding party and family just about "took over" the Topside Inn. We could not have been happier with our decision! stayed here for 4 nights wished it could have been longer. Superb location with views over the water easy walk into the town. Room 9 had picture postcard views room was immaculate as was the whole Inn. Attention to every minute detail. We were in one of the smaller rooms (room 2) but found it very comfortable and accommodating. Breakfasts superb. Hosts welcoming and helpful. Other guests congenial. Great location. We felt we hit the jackpot on this one! more

Loved the place. Nice and quiet and a short walk to anywhere. Love the tea and cookies in the afternoon and just the whole feel of the place...there are loads of things to do at the Inn as well.
