We did not stay at the Inn, but we did have the chance to dine there for dinner. We both ordered from the dining room menu. My girlfriend had a surf and turf special. She wanted to have the saffron rice instead of potatoes, and fresh beans instead of the asparagus. She also asked for her sauces on the side.... more

Just returned from a few days in BBH...what a neat town. It has all the elements one expects in a very pictoresque Maine coastal village but also has the feel of a place where real people live and work. There is plenty to do for visitors and it is easy to find oneself thinking of living in this interesting community.... more

We had 2 nights here at the begining of February 2008. The room was clean and well kept. and generally very comfortable. Pack lightly - as if you are upstairs, the stairs are steep and there is no help with luggage. For the price paid not to offer even a continental breakfast during the winter months lets what was overall... more

We came into town late so we had to check in at the attached restaurant/bar. They were kind enough to let us order dinner even though the kitchen was closing. The food was Amazing and the people could not be more friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was not much for breakfast (which was fine) but the... more

This is a great place to stay if on vacation or for business travelers looking for a relaxed atmosphere after a hard day on the road. I travel very... more

We stayed there twice last year -- once in the summer and once in the late fall. I liked the cozy feel of the Inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated. It was fun coming back from a day of sightseeing and hanging out in the bar like family. Excellent food. I highly recommend the Tuna Martini. I even purchased a... more

The Thistle Inn is great. It is small and cozy with only 5 rooms and the staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The Inn is clean and the service is impeccable. It is located in town near all the shopping so it is easy to take a stroll down the road along the... more
