Attended a wedding reception here over the weekend of April 6th 2013. The hotel and restaurant are situated in the village of Easenhall, about four miles from Rugby. The rooms are well appointed, although could be considered on the small side. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The service was very good at the... More

Off the main tracks of Warwickshire is the village of Easenhall. It is the home of The Golden Lion Hotel & Restaurant. The rooms are to a very high standard and sensibly priced. The bar and restaurant is delightful with a good varied menu and excellent ales on tap. I recommend this establishment to you all. Book early to avoid... More

Third time I have stayed here and the Lion never fails to roar. Unfailingly friendly and helpful staff, clean, well appointed and quiet rooms. Some lovely little touches, like fresh bottled water. Food in the bar also very good. Good range of choices on the menu. Well cooked and friendly, prompt service. Had steak. Asked for it to be rare... More

Rooms were simple but clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The pub was good enough for dinner and a nice breakfast was served there the next day. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere just slightly out of the city centre (10 minute drive) that has a nice traditional, country feel to it.

I stayed here on business third week December and stayed in one of the four poster rooms, which was quite pleasant. Nice room with large bathroom well fitted out. Meals and bar area were welcoming and the food was very good. Ample parking although up a slight incline unless you can park at the front. It was raining when I... More

A special occasion and we were cramped in a small space. The staff could have been friendlier were not keen to go out of their way. Food was average and a little over priced. Would only go back to meet up again with family not because it was great.
