We drove here just to try the food since we had heard great things. The prime rib was cooked to order and was fabulous. The Haddock dinner was also great and the portions were big enough that my wife had two more meals from it. The cheese curds were awesome! Can’t say enough good about our experience. The place was warm and welcoming inside. Nothing worse that being chilly while eating and these guys have that figured out. Can’t wait to go back!

We had just left Baxter State Park... ( fantastic) and decided we would like to take the Katadin Iron Works road toward Greenville and Moosehead Lake the next day. We needed a place for the night near the KIW Road. Let me begin with the fact that there are very few places to stay in this area. We could see that Wildwoods Trailside Cabins was close to Schoodic Lake. We called... cabins were all booked, but the owner had just converted part of her home into two "apartments" and there had been a cancellation. We could have it for a reduced rate of $125. It was a short distance from the cabins and restaurant. There were two bedrooms, a makeshift kitchenette, two Barf-a-lounge reclining chairs, and a huge television. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was new and clean. The floor was painted cement. The dining table was about to fall apart.. The windows were open because it was warm (no A/C) The area between the windows and screens had never been cleaned of dirt and dead flies. The entrance had a old mat lying in dirt and a light dangling from an electrical wire. There was a front porch filled with junk. The yard had several junk cars and two old ATV's. This place has a long way to go to make it presentable. Perhaps the cabins were fine, but the grounds had a lot of junk. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it must have been good since they seemed very busy. ..............................................................................................

From the moment we walked into the restaurant to check into our cabin, we were treated warmly and felt extremely welcome! Cheri and her son Chris were awesome, helpful with local trail directions and the restaurant was awesome. All of the servers were amazing and the Fried Haddock, Buffalo wrap, sides and cold beer was excellent!! Prices were very reasonable as well. The cabin was large, very clean and had ALL the amenities. Four bunks, fridge, microwave, stove and all of the utensils, pans, etc were available to us. Large clean bathroom and a Nice screened porch. Having gas available onsite for the ATV was convenient as well. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you for a fabulous weekend away from our busy offices to disconnect, relax, enjoy the beautiful countryside and foliage, and be made to feel so welcome and comfortable.

Great fried haddock we took a atv to get there. It is right on the trail and serve both snowmobile and atv customers. Great atmosphere great service. Fair price. We will be back. We went with 6 couples on a Friday evening. The busy night, but the service was pretty quick considering.

We stopped for a great lunch at Wildwoods. The food was delicious and the service was good as well. Had our schedule allowed, we definitely would have gone back for a second day. I had the Cheeseburger Macaroni soup and fried cheese curds. Both were amazing.

Our group of 10 headed to Wildwoods from our camp on Schoodic on our last night in town, to celebrate our Dad’s 81st birthday. The staff at Wildwoods were gracious in accommodating our request for a table for 10 on a busy night, and our waitress, Amanda, ensured we enjoyed our dinner! The menu is varied – heavy on seafood, sandwiches, and bar food. We enjoyed appetizers of fried cheese curds and pickle chips, and for dinner, pot roast sandwiches, hamburgers, wings, chicken pot pie filling. All were served hot and were very tasty! The décor and atmosphere are definitely Maine camp-style. Good wine and beer list, and cocktails, too, I believe. Nothing fancy, but very functional and unpretentious. Prices were very reasonable. We will certainly be back!

We only did the restaurant part. The decor is very cute. Everyone is so friendly. The food was good and and service was good. It felt like a real Lodge. The animal mountings were very interesting. It was pretty busy. We will be back on our next trip.

We are frequent guests and everyone that works there goes out of their way to make sure we leave happy. Great drinks, cold beer, friendly service & home cooked meals all at a really fair price. What more can you ask for? We highly recommend this restaurant!

Wildwoods is a spectacular place for any occasion. We found out about Wildwoods by a friend of ours so we booked a weekend there and we could not have been more pleased and impressed at the atmosphere, the cabins and the accommodations. It was way better than we expected. The owner, Cherie and her crew were very warm, welcoming and always pleasant when we saw them. We had brought lobsters and clams up to cook in the kitchenette and when she found out she even offered to cook them for us so it didn't stink up the cabin and make it too hot. They turned out phenomenal! Their cozy cabin restaurant food also speaks for itself! Along with the special accommodations and food being spot on, the cabins were to die for. Super clean, and well kept, the pictures on the website do not do it justice they are much more than what they seem and the prices are unbeatable. The part we loved most about our stay at Wildwoods was that you can leave your cabin on your four wheeler or side by side and hop right on numerous trails, our favorite was the one that goes to Millinocket. So much beautiful wildlife along the way, and a good meal once you get their at Pelletiers logging restaurant! We will definitely be back in the near future!
