A cute lodge out of town but close to all amenities in town. We were very pleased with the room with a huge, comfy bed, kitchenette with pots, pans and all the dishes needed, a large (for a motel room) fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. True, my cell phone did not work but wi-fi does, with 2 networks to choose from. We have been traveling throughout New England for 8 days and Peaks Kenny beats all motels in this price range. The large, well-appointed room was super, squeaky clean and smelled wonderful. These hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, including a USB charging lamp on the bedside table, and we would happily come back.

This is a Good place to stay. The room is smaller than another style motel it IS a Motor Lodge. No A/C is true. It is a rural setting but close by to amenities. FYI alot of rooms are $74 a night way cheaper. Olive stopping by to tell you the word of her Lord is an extra plus.

A short drive from town sits on a hill. Small but very neat. Never saw the owners. Was told a code to punch into the door lock. Had a coffee maker and small frig.to use.Had a fire pit if you want to sit outside and enjoy. No air conditioning but nights are cool so didn't mind. This motel needs some up dating but reasonable in price. Down side next to no cell service and channels ON TV not good.for just a place to sleep fine. A boating dock mile or two down road to lake. Can rent a boat, snack shack etc.so that is nice. In town a couple of good restaurants and a good ice cream place all homemade.

Congratulations to status seekers and social sophisticates Amy and Steve Lane on their adventures in latent-hospitality.* Peaks Kenny Lodge is a children and pet friendly location has all the promised amenities and a fire pit complete with a black fuzzy bunny named Olive. About 2.5 miles from Dover-Foxcroft proper and 3.8 miles from Peaks Kenny State Park. A great get-away by any measure. The wifi is 3 Mbps download and 1 Mbps Upload according to speedtest.net; the cell reception is weak but I was able to call on my crappy phone when I stood in the right place. Bring your own ice. Housekeeping did not change the sheets on the bed of the room next to mine. Doors have push button digital locks with no latch. Door keys are provided upon request. It's has the potential to be meditatively quiet if it were not for birds singing, squirrel chatter, lodge patrons and passing vehicles. * So Amy Lane charged my card prematurely and without authorization which feels/seems illegal. Not sure why she felt compelled to breach the BOOKING.COM contract. We I asked her about it she took a defensive posture and issued an ultimatum: "if you don't want to stay here you can find another place to stay". I'm sure everybody has experiences like that.…

We were happy with our stay here. It is convenient to town and accepts pets (we have a cat and dog we travel with). We didn't have any cell data reception, but the establishment offers free WiFi. There was a cute black bunny bopping around, too.

Myself and two young children had a great experience! Plenty of safe play space far from the road in a friendly atmosphere! The new owners Amy & Steve are top notch. Very welcoming and accommodative. The room had WiFi, and new mattress/tv and even a toddler bed for my son upon request. Definitely coming back! The Beach and Peak’s Kenny State Park were so close (a mile or so). We got the secluded vibe but were only a few minutes from town and food/hospital. Highly recommended to anyone looking to experience Maine: the way life should be.

Sense new ownership a lot has happened at Peaks Kenny Lodge. New beds are amazing, new TV's, wifi (which is huge in today's society), updated linens and towels and much more. The new fire ring area is a relaxing way to end an evening in DF. The free roaming pet bunny was also a hit and fun to watch. Suggest this place to anyone looking for comfortable and affordable lodging.

My son and I had room one. It is wheel chair accessible even though we didn't need that; it is a positive feature if you do. The room and the grounds are clean. The owners are very nice and they allowed me to have our best buddy stay with us which is always a bonus. The room is affordable even with the addition $15.00 charge for the before mentioned best buddy. ("WOOF", wag, wag, wag!) This motor lodge is very close to Peaks Kenny State Park and not to far away from Dover Foxcroft, ME. The area is beautiful. The snowmobile trails pop out literally into the parking lot. (So if you do that sort of thing this place couldn't be any better located) Then comes the down side. It's no big thing. I'll put it this way… "Shampoo" is not the only thing you'll have to bring along. You should bring food, snacks, an extra blanket, beer and a deck of cards or a board game or something to read. There is no web connection and the TV gets 5 stations one of which is PBS and another is the shopping network. There is no restaurant or bar. The "Snack" room does have ice and an old, near empty, tiny vending machine that had a look like it was just daring me to drop money in it. There is no manager on the premises, you have to use the phone in the snack room and he's a few minutes away. You have to use the phone in the snack room because there is only very spotty cell service if any. I had none. There are no phones in the room. The beds are lumpy the pillows thin and I was glad to have an extra blanket in the car. The shower is low pressure and low volume. I've had babies drool more liquid on me and at higher pressure than this shower. But, the water was warm. Oh, and the door locks are hardly more secure than the privacy locks you'd find on an average bedroom door. You'd be better off leaving valuables locked in the trunk of the car. Not that there's a lot of criminal activity mind you… I'm just saying, as I would to any traveler, use caution. I'll wrap this up by saying that I enjoyed my one night stay. The room provided the very most basic of services in that I did get to sleep indoors and watching cartoons with my 13 year old was actually pretty fun. The night sky was absolutely AMAZING! For a one night stay it was just OK. Very clean but simple beyond your wildest dreams. (No AC even) If your planning a lot of outdoor activities and just need a warm place to land then this is the place for you. (Since there isn't much choice)…

Whether it is "good" or not depends on what you're looking for . . . . “Basic” defines the place. Primitive may be a better description Only one bed configuration is available: two double beds in a room. One CRT t.v. (20” ??) hanging in the corner. No shampoo or toiletries beyond two mini bars of soap. No restaurant or food service-town with restaurants is about 10 minutes away so that is not so bad. It is close to some nice parks and a lake and is in a beautiful setting. Cash only – no CCs. If you don’t expect too much, you won’t be disappointed.

Just returned from Maine, and loved their little motel. It's clean, extremely quite, the setting is in the woods, and you're close to the lake just up the road. Very reasonable rates, and the owners take pride in their business. They we're some sweet hearts. You can't find many motels in this area that are reasonably priced. This place is, and we'd stay here again....anytime we're back in the area
