The good: This is a pre-revolution home situated atop a hill in a beautiful area of Eliot surrounded by rolling farmland acres. The home was built in 1739 & its interior pays homage to that period w/well decorated guestrooms filled w/antiques. The owners also respected the original structure and made minimal updates in the guest rooms. My room's modern amenity was a shower stall in the bathroom ,a modern toilet& electricity. The rest of the room was like entering a timewarp: low ceilings, uneven large wooden plank flooring, tiny windows. There was no air conditioning or fans which was OK because it was cool at night. The exterior foundation as well as the grounds are well-maintained.
